Breath • Body • Balance was created from lived experience, deep curiosity, and a shared belief that true wellbeing begins with feeling safe and connected within your body.

From survival mode to grounded support

Alicia’s early years were shaped by significant health challenges that left her struggling to trust her body. Although always curious about holistic health and alternative therapies, she learned early on how to push through and function, a skill that later became reinforced through her work in healthcare. Like many in frontline roles, emotions were often set aside in order to keep going. Over time, this way of coping seeped into her personal life, leaving her feeling disconnected and moving through the world on autopilot.

Angus’ journey began in the ocean. Wanting to build confidence for free diving, he attended a freediving course while travelling Australia with his family. The instructor — also a breathwork facilitator — guided the group through a breakthrough breathwork experience. The impact was immediate and profound. It revealed how deeply he had been living in fight-or-flight, and for the first time, he experienced what it felt like to regulate his emotions and feel calm within his body.

Rebuilding trust in her own body

Alicia Berry

Alicia’s work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach shaped by her background as a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Pilates instructor, bodyworker and student naturopath. After her own health challenges, Pilates became the only movement she could do — and over time, it helped her rebuild strength, mobility, confidence and trust in her body. She calls this her “Pilates glow up” and now supports clients through the same process of feeling stronger, safer and more at home in themselves.

Angus’ path led him into cold exposure, where he saw firsthand how guided ice baths can build resilience, presence and nervous system regulation. He is certified in cold water immersion and is deeply experienced in holding space for breakthrough breathwork and supported cold experiences. His calm, grounded presence brings a steady, safe masculine energy to Breath • Body • Balance’s signature sessions.
